Allan Edward Peterson
Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory
Allan Edward Peterson born on March 22, 1942, in Timmins, Ontario passed away suddenly on January 10, 2026, in Hamilton, Ontario. Allan was predeceased by his beloved wife, Angeline (Angie) and his brother, Gord. He is lovingly remembered by his son Robert (Rob) daughter, Kelly (Elgan); his cherished grandchildren, Gregory and Adam; and his brothers, Lloyd (Barbara) and David (Christine). Allan worked for many years at Dofasco, retiring at the age of 50. Retirement allowed him to fully embrace the life he loved—one centered around family, travel, and the outdoors. He and Angie spent many happy winters together in Cocoa Beach, Florida, creating lasting memories.
A devoted family man, Allan found joy in fishing, cottaging in Georgian Bay (Honey Harbour), and spending time with those he loved. In his later years, he enjoyed the companionship and strong social network he built at the Grandview Retirement Home, where he formed meaningful friendships and remained active and engaged.
Allan will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, and the warmth and humor he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
