Obituary Overview
Bonnie Logan
Bonnie Lynn Marie Logan (Nee Shank)
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bonnie on December 12, 2025 after a brave and determined battle with cancer.
Born February 22, 1956 to parents William (d.1971) and Irene (d.2009) Shank, and lovingly known as “Fred” or “Freddie”, she spent her life pouring love, laughter, and generosity into everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Bonnie leaves behind the love of her life and best friend of 55+ years, her devoted husband, Robert. Their bond was truly one of a kind. A love built on devotion, partnership, and unwavering support.
She was a deeply loving mother to four wonderful children – Judy (David Hoffmann), Renee, Robert (Shawna) and Joe (Melissa). Predeceased by her infant son, Joseph (1977). Her children were the pride of her life, and her love for them knew no bounds. She loved her fur-babies, Sass and Shadow, beyond measure.
Meme is lovingly remembered by her wonderful and unique grandchildren: Patrick, Ashley, Katelyn (Rob), Summer (Mac), Chance (Laura), Jared (Mattea), Dorothy (Hugh), Emma (Hunter), Cooper, Aiden and Connor, each of whom brought her immense joy and laughter. She also had the great privilege of loving her precious great-grandchildren: Toby, Emmit, Amelia, Brinleigh, and Aliah.
Bonnie had a true passion for bingo and was famously lucky, racking up countless jackpot wins over the years. She enjoyed her soap operas and her plethora of television series were ready to be recorded nightly. She loved playing cards with her siblings and took great joy in teaching her grandchildren new games—always dealing faster than anyone else and counting points first. She had an unmatched talent for finding the best deals around, even if it meant she had to Cryvac something to make it last. Kind, loving, and endlessly generous, Bonnie had the biggest heart. She loved to cook for everyone she cared about—and even for new faces. No one ever left her home with an empty belly; she always made sure there were leftovers to take home, a small but powerful reflection of her love. Her Sunday roasts with bowtie noodles are missed already.
Bonnie came from a large, loving family and married into a slightly smaller family. She will be greatly missed by her surviving siblings Joanne, Judy, Terry, Brenda, Wayne, Charlene, Cheryl, Paul, David and their spouses. Brother and sister in-laws Eddie, Cathy, Cheryl, Lori and their spouses.
Awaiting her in heaven are siblings Leonard, Carol, Bobbie, Billy, Sharon, Michael, Dianne, Danny and their surviving spouses. Her mother and father in-law, Delphine and Edward as well as brother and sister in-laws Barb, Betty, John, Tom, Jerry, Joe, Gary and their surviving spouses.
Bonnie is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
Bonnie will be deeply missed, but her warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Thank you goes out to her care team: Dr Loebach for your years as her family physician and for coming to visit her every week or so. She was so grateful for this. All her doctors and nurses on 4th floor oncology at Met Campus, who helped to take care of her during her stay there, with a special thank you to Dr Choudhury for your devotion and giving us the extra time we so needed with her.
Bonnie spent the last two and a half months at The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County-Windsor Site. It is here that she received the utmost support, comfort and care from all the wonderful staff, volunteers, doctors and nurses. Mama loved you all. We couldn't have asked for a better place for her to spend her end of life, and for that, we are eternally grateful.
There will be a celebration of life with family and friends in late spring/early summer of 2026.
Cremation has taken place.
