Brian Gregory Wise

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Gregory Wise, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the age of 66.

Born in Clinton, Ontario, Brian spent most of his life between Windsor, Ontario, and Peace River, Alberta.  He found joy in the simple things—spending time in nature, watching sports, listening to music, and cheering on his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. His love for the outdoors and his quiet appreciation for life’s moments were part of what made him so special. 

Above all else, Brian loved his family.  He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Amy (Mike), Arleigh (Richard), and his grandchildren (Kelwyn, Annabelle, Austin, Sawyer, and Kingston).  Although they were no longer married, he and Kelly always continued to care for each other.  The respect and compassion they shared for one another remained and we are forever grateful she was with him when it mattered most.  Brian is also survived by his 6 brothers and sisters (Marilynne, Diane, Karen, Debbie, Rick, and Mark).

To his grandchildren, he was simply “Papa,” a title he wore with pride and love. The memories they shared with him, his kindness, and the love he gave so freely will remain in their hearts forever.

Brian’s legacy is one of love, quiet strength, and devotion to his family. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the stories we tell, the memories we cherish, and the love he leaves behind.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Rest in peace, Papa.  We hope you’re playing the air guitar up there to some of your favourite tunes. 

At per Brian’s wishes, cremation has already taken place.  There will be a Celebration of Life held on Sunday, August 2nd at the Huron Fish and Game in Clinton, Ontario.
