It’s with heavy hearts the family of Brian Cooper announces his passing on November 2, 2025 at the age of 74.

Beloved father to Colin Cooper (Shaung).

Proud grand-daddy to Isaiah and Benjamin.

Forever remembered by his sister Claudette Raymond (the late Jerry). Brian is predeceased by his siblings Joanne Cooper and Paul Cooper (survived by Judy) and his parents James and Estelle Cooper.

Remembered with affection by his former wife, Debra Cooper, and by his loving companion and friend, Susan Furtado and her daughter Jaime (Samy).

Brian will be dearly missed by his chosen family – the Hands and Mike Parnell (Liu).

Brian will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends.

Brian’s curiosity and determination to understand how things worked were matched only by his generosity in using that knowledge to help others. From repairing a broken stair to laying tile, Brian was always the first to lend a hand. If he didn’t know how to fix it, he’d learn until he did. His time at ADM was more than a job; it was a place where he built lasting friendships. He had a love of cars, and he took great pride building his ’34 Ford from the ground up.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.

A memorial mass will take place at St. John the Baptist Church in Amherstburg, on Dec 5th at 10:30 am with a luncheon gathering at the Royal Canadian Legion directly after until 2:30
