Brian Joseph Peter Bannon

Brian Bannon, 76, of Windsor, Ontario, passed away on May 23, 2026.

He was born on December 7, 1949, in Kitchener, Ontario, to Joseph and Margaret Bannon.

Brian was a graduate of the University of Toronto. In his early years, he embarked on an adventurous journey, travelling by car to India and back. He went on to build a career in journalism, working as a reporter for several newspaper organizations, most notably the Windsor Star.

In 1981, Brian married Nadia Prystanski, beginning a life marked by a shared love of travel. Together, they visited Europe more than 50 times, as well as destinations across Australia, Asia, Canada, and the United States. Brian also founded and led the wine club Le Bec Fin, where members gathered for gourmet dinners and international trips centred on food and wine.

Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Nadia; his sister, Maureen (Ron) McCormick; and his brothers, Peter (Jeni) and Paul (Laurie).

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation.
