Bruce Charles Strickland

In Loving Memory

With heavy hearts, we announce that Bruce went to be with his Lord in the afternoon of 28 August 2026 at Elgin Manor Nursing Home in Southwold Ontario. He left behind his daughter Ruth Guy (Strickland), fiancée Bruce Stover, granddaughter Kayla Guy and grandson Logan Guy and his sister Jean Crinklaw (Strickland) and her husband Marshall. Several nieces and a nephew he also leaves behind that he remembered fondly. He has gone to meet his wife Bonnie Strickland (Taylor), Mother Betty Strickland (Kalus), Father John Strickland, Brother David Strickland, Sister Bonnie Simmons (Strickland), best friends Ron & Alice Wilson and his many dogs in heaven.

Bruce was known for the jokes that he loved to share to brighten even a strangers day. Bruce had a passion for a furry paw, everyone wondered what his next dogs name would be. He loved trains that were life size and the ones on a hobby board. He had strong fond memories of the Scouts and Rovers program and all the lessons that were taught to him there. He was proud of every badge and event. He took pleasure in teaching St. John’s First Aid for several years. He held his Stationary Engineers Diploma thru Fanshawe College with Ontario Hydro as well as work on foot reading meters for a few years. Bruce and his wife Bonnie also took their turn at helping the 741 Air Cadet Squadron in St. Thomas.

A celebration of life will be held at Southdale Bible Chapel, 1214 Southdale Rd E, London Ontario, N5Z 4N4 on Saturday September 19th 2026 at 10:30am. He only specified that he would like donations to be made to Southdale Bible Chapel due to his strong faith in his Lord.
