Carol Ann Komar
Obituary Overview
Carol Ann Komar
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Komar, who left us peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on August 22, 2025, at the age of 68 in Windsor, Ontario.
Carol will be forever remembered as a proud mother to Judy Therieult and Connie Sauve, and a loving grandmother to Chelsea, Chase, Ayden, and Mia. She was a cherished daughter of Gloria Thibert, and a beloved sister to Paulette Meirnicke, Nanette Thibert, Debbie LeBlanc, and Jimmy Thibert and dearest friends Debbie Logan and Betty Pretli. Greeted in heaven by her partner Greg Sauve, her sister Bernadette Parkolab and her father Roland Thibert. Carol’s warmth and kindness extended to her many nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom will miss her deeply.
Carol found happiness in caring for animals and spending time with family and friends. Her laughter, sense of humor, and generous heart brought comfort and smiles to those around her. She will long be remembered for the courage she showed until the very end.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to ALS of Windsor-Essex, especially Sharon Colman, for their compassion and support throughout Carol’s journey.
In lieu of flowers or condolence gifts, please consider a donation to the ALS Walk – “Carol’s Cause”, or join the walk on September 7 in her honor. https://www.canadahelps.org/s/jzGb3w
A Celebration of Life will be held directly afterwards.
