In Loving Memory of Cecil Nantau

It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our dad Cecil Nantau on July 21, 2026, at the age of 93.

Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, he lived a long and meaningful life filled with family, friendships, laughter, and hard work. He was a dedicated truck driver who took great pride in maintaining a perfect driving record throughout his career.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Betty Lou Nantau, and his loving children: Ramona Beales, Laura Nantau, Glen Nantau (Karrie), Gary Nantau (Karolina), and Beth Springer (Scott). He was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 4 great-grandchildren. He will also be fondly remembered by his extended family and many dear friends.

He was known for his generosity and he was the kind of man who would truly give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He had a wonderful sense of humour, loved fishing and playing pool, and had an easy way of making everyone feel welcome. Whether sharing a story, a laugh, or simply enjoying good company, he was someone you could spend hours with and never tire of. His warmth, kindness, and genuine character left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary hospice caregivers, personal support workers, nurses, and physicians whose compassion, dedication, and exceptional care made it possible for him to spend his final days at home with dignity, comfort, and peace, surrounded by the love of his family. Your kindness and support will always be remembered with deep appreciation.

His legacy of generosity, humour, and kindness will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
