It is with great sadness that the family of Cheryl Laidlaw announce her passing after a courageous battle with cancer.
Cheryl was born April 22, 1955, to Anna and the late Joseph Richer. Loving wife and best friend of Charles "Chuck" Laidlaw. Dear mother to Jason Mallat and Joslin Allen (Craig). Loving "Mema" to grandchildren Cody, Colton and Autumn. Cheryl is survived by seven brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews. She joins brothers Billy and Peanut (Gerald) in heaven, as well as her dog Lucky.
Cheryl loved music, dancing, and watching her Blue Jays. She was also an avid card player. Her sense of humor remained sharp and helped carry her through the difficult times.
The family would like to thank everyone who came to share their love with Cheryl before her passing.
Reminiscing of fond memories brought a smile to her face and peace to her heart.
A special thanks also goes out to Ontario Health at Home, Paramed and the amazing staff and tireless volunteers of Hospice (Empress) who greatly eased the pain of her final days. You will be remembered. A celebration of life will take place in the spring.
