It’s with heavy hearts the family of Christine Fontaine announces her passing on October 15, 2025 at the age of 65.

Beloved partner to Pat McAuley. Cherished mother to Jason Fontaine (Selina) and Jennifer Poret (Steve). Proud grandma to Michelle and Elizabeth Poret. Forever remembered by her father Leo Lanoue and step-mother Judy Lanoue and her siblings Philip Lanoue (Beverly), Janet Gaudet (Yvon), Denise Gagne (Jean), and Donald Lanoue (Cynthia). Christine is predeceased by her mother Elizabeth Durocher. She will be dearly missed by lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Christine found joy in her hobbies which included kayaking, crafting, sewing, crocheting, and a good Scrabble game. Above all, she was endlessly proud of her children and grandchildren, who were the greatest joy of her life.

As per Christine’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
