Claire Beatrice Ladouceur
(nee Mailloux)
16-January-1929 – 13-August 2026
Claire passed away peacefully at Lakeshore Residence in Belle River on August 13, 2026 at the grand age of 97.
Cherished wife of 67 years to the late Marcel Ladouceur. Marcel and his late brother Raymond were well known in the St-Joachim community as owners of Ladouceur’s Garage. Claire and Marcel built a wonderful life and formed many lifelong friendships, friendships that meant so much to them over the years.
Dear sister to Marcel Mailloux (Annette) (late Shirley), and predeceased by sisters Pauline Béchard (Gérard), Angèle Pinsonneault (Richard) and in-laws Raymond and Edna Ladouceur and Lena Lesperance (Ray), (Pete Schiller). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Loving mother of Helen Webb (Doug) and the late Yvette Ayres (Bob). Her family grew to include four cherished grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
She had an incredible work ethic and spent more than 25 years as a waitress at the St-Joachim Hotel. She was especially known for her amazing cooking and baking. Summers meant canning season, where she preserved stewed tomatoes, tomato juice, corn relish and so much more. She loved quilting and everyone of her grandchildren received a quilt made by meme.
She showed us that a life doesn’t have to be extraordinary to be beautiful. It is the everyday acts of love, generosity and hard work that leave the greatest legacy.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life with follow at a later date.
