In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Son

It is with a broken heart and immeasurable love that we mourn the passing of our beloved son, Craig Reid, who left us on Aug. 5th, 2026, at the age of 41.

He leaves behind his Mom, Carole; Dad, Craig; sister, Crystal; brother, Curtis; his son, Nash; aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and friends, all of whom will carry his memory forward and hold him in their hearts with love.

To My Son Craig, With All My Love

My beautiful son Craig,

There are no words big enough for the love a mother has for her son, and there are certainly no words big enough for the pain of having to say goodbye.

You were so much more than a son—you were a part of me. From the day you came into my life, you carried a piece of my heart with you, and you always will.

You were a warm, kind-hearted soul. You had a goodness in you that could not be taught. You simply had it. You cared about people, you gave without asking what you could get in return. You were never greedy. You understood something that many people spend their entire lives trying to learn: people matter.

You had the kind of heart that allowed you to raise another person’s child as your own. That’s the kind of man you were. When you loved someone, you loved them with your whole heart.

My heart aches for your son, Nash. I know how much you loved him, and a part of you will live on through him. Nash will carry your love with him for the rest of his life. I will watch over Nash and remind him, whenever he needs to hear it, of the man his father was.

Your sister, Crystal, and brother, Curtis, will always treasure the moments that you have had together growing up with one another.

You were a loving son. And although I wish I could have a lifetime more with you, I am grateful for every single day I was blessed to be your mother.

I wish I could tell you one more time how proud I am of you.

I wish I could hug you one more time.

I wish I could hear you laugh one more time.

There are so many things I wish I could say to you, but perhaps the most important is simply this:

Thank you.

Thank you for being my son.
Thank you for the love you gave me.
Thank you for every laugh, every conversation, every memory.
Thank you for the goodness you brought into the world.

Your life may have ended far too soon, but the love you gave did not end with you. It will live in all of us forever.

And no matter how many years pass, there will never be a day that I don’t carry you in my heart.

My son, I don’t know how to say goodbye to you.

So I won’t.

I will simply say until we meet again:

You will always be my son.
You will always be loved.
You will always be missed.

Rest peacefully, my beautiful boy.

Mom loves you.

Mom will always love you, and Mom will never, ever forget you.

With all my heart,

Mom

Thank you for being Craig.
