David Glen Cutler
Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory
CUTLER, David Glen
1950 – 2025
The family of David Glen Cutler announces his sudden passing on the morning of August 30, 2025 at the age of 75.
David was born and grew up in Edmonton to Lillian (2012) and Raymond Cutler (2005) as the youngest brother to Donna (2019) and Dianne. David’s travel spirit brought him to explore Europe and Africa, and eventually found his way to the Ottawa region where he lived, studied and achieved a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from the University of Carleton. He displayed his aptitude for numbers while working for Natural Resources Canada in IT until he retired.
He enjoyed watching and playing sports and loved playing backgammon with his son. He will be remembered for his generous, thoughtful and caring nature by the people he loved and the rescue dog he and his wife adopted. David was also a movie buff and his children have fond memories of mischievously being signed out of school early to go to a movie theatre, paying for a kid’s movie, then sneaking into a Bruce Willis action film.
Those left to carry these and more fond memories forward are devoted wife Sharon; his children from his first marriage Sadye (Jason) Simons and Lucas (Brigette) Cutler ; step children Sarah (Marc), Karen (Joe), and Virginia ; grand-children Sophie, Hayden, Elaine, Shane, Kaeleb, Josh, Abby, India-Marie, and great grandchild Temperance; brother-in-law, Dennis; Brother in law John, sisters in law, Jane(Doug) and Barbara (Charles) and Nicki, his rescue dog-child.
