David Walter Landry AKA, Papa, Uncle Dave, Walter passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2026 in his 80th year.

Born in Nova Scotia, David was raised in St. Catharines alongside his five siblings, and later settled in London, Ontario, where he built a life and raised his family.

David wore many hats throughout his life. He was a devoted dad, papa, uncle, brother, and grandfather; a banker and entrepreneur; a skilled handyman; a lacrosse player; and an avid sports fan. Above all, he was a true conversationalist—someone who loved to talk, tease, joke, and laugh. He was always up for a good time with his family in what we lovingly called “Wally’s World.”

He loved his family dearly, and that love was felt by all who knew him.

David is survived by his strong and dedicated daughters, Jody and Kim; sons-in-law, Ray and Nik; very special grandchildren, Audrey, Ryan, Owen, and Zoe; siblings Cathy, Mark, Rick, and Theresa; nieces, nephews, and their families, including Jeffrey, Zach, Brooke, Megan, Corey, Kyle, Luke, and Josh. David was predeceased by his life loving mother Audrey, father Gary, sister Linda and his nephew Shane.

A celebration of life will be arranged in St. Catharines, where he will be laid to rest in the spring.
