Of London, Ontario passed away peacefully at University Hospital on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in his 92nd year.  Beloved husband for 63 years of Ruby Champ (2019).  Loving father of John Champ (Pamela) of London, ON, Timothy Champ (Christyn) of Chilliwack, BC, and Wendy Breau (Derrick) of Newmarket, ON.  Cherished Papa of Laura (Anthony), Jeff (Kristin), Jason (Lindsay), Sarah (Brandon), Rachel (Daniel), Lucas (Naomi), Jackson and Andrew.  Loved Great-Papa to 16 great grandchildren plus one on the way.  Predeceased by his brother and two sisters.  Born in Montreal, QB on June 9, 1934, he was a butcher for most of his life.  Douglas was a devoted husband and father who cherished his family.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, travelling, woodworking, spending time with family and friends and was always ready to lend a helping hand. His faith and trust in the Lord Jesus guided him throughout his life.  Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 10-11am followed directly by the funeral service at Westview Baptist Church, 1000 Wonderland Rd. S., London, ON (519-681-9844).  Reception to follow.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada gratefully acknowledged.
