In Loving Memory
Edward James “Jim” Braithwaite, affectionately known as “Fibber,” passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, in St. Thomas, Ontario.
Jim was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to the late George and Elizabeth Braithwaite.
Jim is survived and will be forever missed by his wife, Rebecca (née Anderson), and his children, Siobhan, Liam (Emily), and James. He also leaves behind his twin sister, Barbara (the late John) Donnelly; many nieces and nephews; great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Family was the most important thing to Jim. He will be remembered for his bass guitar playing, sharp wit, and many memorable stories. Throughout his life, Jim enjoyed a range of careers, from electrician to bar owner of Fibbers. Above all, his greatest role was that of loving husband and father.
Celebration of Life
A Celebration of Life open house will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at 41 David Drive, St. Thomas, Ontario.
