Edward James Murray
Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Edward James Murray, who left us on October 1, 2025, in his 75th year.
Ed was a quiet strength in our lives — steady, kind, and always just a phone call away when we needed him most. He lived simply but loved deeply, giving his time, care, and quiet wisdom to those around him. His greatest joy was his family. He took pride in the people we became and found his truest happiness in the everyday moments — the small acts of love, the laughter we shared, and the bond that held us together.
He is survived by his daughters, Jessica (James) and Amber (Mike). He was a proud and loving "Paco" to his grandchildren: Easton, Luca, Maverick, Hayden, and Harper. He is deeply missed by his brothers, Bill (Mary Lou) and Angus (Carol), and his sister, Sandra (Rob), along with his many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Catherine and Angus, and his brother, Gordon (Angela).
Those who loved him will miss his loving presence, his warm smile, his laugh, cheeky banter, and the quiet comfort of knowing he was always there.
We will carry his memory in our hearts and honour the legacy of a man who never asked for much, but gave us everything. His love will echo in our lives forever.
As per his request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. In honour of his memory, please raise a glass.
“Raise a glass. Don't mourn me. Don't drown me in black cloth and quiet whispers. Laugh loud, drink deep, tell the stories that made me live. Remember the bad jokes, the nights that stretched into dawn, the times we swore we’d never forget... and don’t. I was here. A life well lived.”
