It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father Ernie on December 16, 2025 at ESHC.  

Ernie is predeceased by his father Charles (1982), his mother Rose (2017), and his brother James (2016) (survived by Sharon).  

Ernie is the beloved father of Sheila (Tony) and Stephen (Stephen).  

Proud grandfather of Chelsea (Mitchell) and Erika (Alfred).  

Ernie will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews Deanna, Bubba (Jimmy), Melissa, Jason, and the late John (2024).  

Ernie will be remembered as an outstanding hockey player by his community and friends. His hobbies included hunting with his family and spending time at his cottage.  

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.  

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private Memorial will be held at a later date.
