Francis "Peter" Smith

Francis “Peter” Smith of Bothwell, ON passed away suddenly the morning of Thursday August 21, 2025, his beloved wife Gail by his side. 

Peter was known as “Smitty” by his friends at the Ford Motor Company, Talbotville, where he worked for over 30 years. 

He was a humorous, kind and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was the loving dad to Tabatha (Darrell), Dana, Sandy, Shelley (Jason), and his “sweet baby girl” Amber (Pierre-Luc).

Grandfather to Amanda, Ashley, Steven, Joshua, Jaedan, Brendan, Terry, Frank, Rylan, Mikayla and Mya. Loving bother to Laura, Sandra (Ed) and Dianna & Lloyd. Uncle to Elizabeth, Stephanie, Bobbi-Jo and Little Di, Great Uncle to Grace-Lyn

Peter is predeceased by his parents Catherine (2007) and Francis (2007) Smith, and Wendy (2021) and Jacquelyn (2022). 

Peter will be missed deeply by his wife, children, grandchildren, sisters, extended family, and many friends. 

To know him was to love him. His quick wit, big heart, one-of-a-kind spirit and cool as a cucumber attitude will never be forgotten.
