It’s with heavy hearts the family of Gary Tingle announces his passing on March 31, 2026 at the age of 83.

Cherished husband of 60 years to Carol Tingle.

Beloved father to Kelly Tingle and Jennifer Lanoue (Bruce).

Proud grandfather to Courtney and Austin (Lucy).

Forever remembered by his brothers John (Mary) and Terry (Jeani). Gary is predeceased by his step-brother Wayne Parent (survived by Anna Mae).

Gary will also be dearly missed by his extended family and friends.

He was a dedicated educator who spent 30 years as a teacher and Head of Guidance at F.J. Brennan High School. He took great pride in helping students discover their paths and plan for their futures. A Past Commodore of the Windsor Yacht Club, Gary had a lifelong love of boating, travelling, and cruising. He also appreciated sunsets, nature, and watching ships on the river pass by. Above all, his greatest joy in life was raising his daughters and adoring his beautiful wife.

The family welcomes relatives and friends on Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Windsor Yacht Club, 9000 Riverside Dr. E., Windsor, ON, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Prayers with Fr. Larry Brunet will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.

As per Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s memory may be made to the F.J. Brennan Student Assistant Fund. Donations can be given at the Memorial Service or by reaching out to F.J. Brennan High School directly. This allows his lifelong commitment of supporting students to continue through his legacy.
