With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our dear Gary, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 70.

Gary was very much loved by his wife, Diane (Laporte); his stepdaughter, Heather (Gary) Craig; his granddaughter, Morgan (Cote); his great-granddaughter, Maddelyn; his son, and his grandchildren.

He was a wonderful brother to Riley (Jeanne), Brian (Janet), Rick, Jeanette (Jess), and Lynda.

Gary was also a cherished brother-in-law to Dave (Patti), Jeanine (Glen), and Gene (Trish).

Gary enjoyed many years working in construction, with 30 years of continuous service. Then Gary went to Enwin Utilities, and later in the wind farm industry. However, he most cherished the time he spent with his family, especially taking day trips with his wife. He was a kind man with a generous heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Gary was known as "Chief" to many, and no matter where his travels took him and Diane, they would often hear someone call out, "Hey, Chief!"

Gary will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A very special thank you to the staff at Village of St. Clair for the care and compassion shown to Gary during his time there.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Gary's life will be held at a later date.
