It’s with heavy hearts the family of Andy Capel-Cure announces his passing on November 9, 2025 at the age of 87.
Cherished husband and best friend of 61 years Dorothy Capel-Cure.
Beloved father to Joanne Capel-Cure and Matthew Capel-Cure (Lorraine).
Proud Granddad to Braeden Derksen, Ashley Capel-Cure, and Dana Capel-Cure.
Forever remembered by his brother Peter Capel-Cure (Suzanne).
Predeceased by his sisters Sheila Cumming and Pam Kirby and his parents Rev. Robert and Mary Capel-Cure.
Andy will also be missed by his extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Andy will be remembered for his hard work, love of sport, and dedication to his family. He worked as a millwright at Ford Motor Company from 1965 to 1998. Outside of work, he played rugby for the original Black Rock Rugby Club (now Windsor Rugby Club), was a member of the Down River Darts League, and coached soccer with Amherstburg Minor Soccer.
He was a devoted Granddad who never missed a ball game or hockey match, always there to cheer on his grandchildren.
Andy travelled the world in his red sweater, visiting Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. That red sweater will be with him once more on his final journey.
As per Andy’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
