It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Patrick Creed on August 14, 2025 following a gradual decline in his health over the last few years.

Loving husband of Kathy for 15 years. Devoted father to Charlotte Dunn and George Junior. Proud grandfather to Carmen, Connor, Nick and Ashley. Predeceased by parents Mary Ann and Richard. The youngest of ten children George was predeceased by siblings Pat, Kathy, Olive, Irene, Lita, Bill and Richard. He is missed by brother John (Sandra) and sister Mary Lou.

George ran his own lawn maintenance and snow clearing business for many years. He was popular with his elderly customers because he always made time for them, whilst ensuring that the work was done to his exacting standards. In later years he found enjoyment in travelling abroad, and it was on one of his trips to England that he met Kathy.

George had an unsettled youth until he went to Alcoholics Anonymous when he was 30 years old, and at the time of his death he had 49 years of sobriety under his belt. Alcoholics Anonymous played a big part in his life right until the end. He will be missed by his AA friends.

A Celebration of Life event will take place in September, details to be announced.
