Howard Wilson Sinclair-Jones

In Loving Memory of...

Howard passed away peacefully on July 25th, 2026, with family by his side at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Toronto, as the result of health complications.

Devoted father and best friend to his adoring daughters Sofia and Anita. He is also survived by their mothers, Ilda and Jen, and his sister Angela Sinclair-Jones. He is predeceased by his brother Graham Sinclair-Jones (2021). 

Howy earned his PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of Leeds and oversaw projects that served and strengthened communities across Canada and abroad. His work on world renowned buildings have forever changed the Toronto skyline into what it is today. After a career in civil engineering, he dedicated his life to extensive work with community led nonprofits and agencies and will be remembered as a founder of the Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI). On June 1, 1993, Howy was awarded the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada Medal. In October 2023, Howy was most gratified to receive The OCASI Legacy Award. 

He leaves behind many cherished friends, often unified through a shared passion for organic and regenerative agriculture, or his lifelong allegiance to Everton Football Club.
