In Loving Memory

Our beloved son, husband, father, brother, and dear friend, Jeff Swann, died peacefully in London, Ontario, on February 4th, surrounded by love and family, after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer three years ago. He battled his disease to the very end.

Mourning Jeff’s loss and filled with loving memories of a wonderful life with him are his mother Joan Swann-McLaughlin, his beloved wife Viviane, his sons, Matthew [Erin Pearson] and James, his ‘brother from another mother’ Liam Devine, and his sisters Debbie [Michael Hinton] and Patricia [Jeff Jaswa]. Jeff is predeceased by his father Clifford Swann (2001), his step-father Glenn McLaughlin (2018), his father-in-law(s), Salim Hamasani (1998), Yorgho Khouri (2014), and his mother-in-law Leila Matta (2009).

Jeff loved life. An entrepreneur at heart, Jeff started a range of different businesses in Canada and Dubai. After returning to Canada, Jeff and Viviane co-founded an Italian cafe/gelateria in 2004 (Coppa di Gelato), which evolved into “Coppa”, their successful family-owned gelato brand and expanding frozen dessert manufacturing business. Coppa Inc. remains in London, Ontario and continues to be run by his family and dedicated team of amazing staff.

The dedicated team at Coppa Inc., who continue to help the Swann family ‘grow the dream’ that Jeff dedicated so much of his life to.
Jeff’s caring medical team(s) across London Health Sciences Centre.
The compassionate staff and volunteers at St Joseph’s Hospice in London.
His incredible group of friends who will forever remain “family”.

A gathering in gratitude for Jeff’s life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
