In Loving Memory

Alice passed very peacefully on Friday December 5th, 2025, at the age of 92, with her family by her side.

Loving wife of the late Bruce Albert Simpson. A devoted mother of Karen Simpson (late Steven Hancock), Stewart Simpson (Corrie van Walraven), Elizabeth Simpson (Derek McNaughton) and Ian Simpson (Jennifer North). Predeceased by her sister, Irene Gibson and her parents, Grace and Harold Gardner. Alice had 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Alice believed life was best enjoyed with a good laugh, her family and friends, good food (heaping plates of food) and a healthy glass of Pinot Grigio. When asked to describe an event she had attended, she answered, without fail ‘I had the BEST time!’ Alice always remarked on what a great life she had lived, and knew how lucky she was. She never took things too seriously, was game for anything and was incredibly resilient. Her generosity had no bounds.

We will miss her sense of humour, positive outlook, her laugh and her ability to make you feel like you were the most important person in the world. In short, she was the best mother one could ever hope for. Mom has given us a lifetime of heartfelt, fun and hilarious memories that we will never run out of.

Although no formal service, a private family ceremony will be held summer 2026.
