Joan passed away peacefully at Met Hospital on June 26, 2026, at the age of 93.

Predeceased by her parents, John and Irene O’Brien.

Beloved wife of William Ovens (1998).

Loving mother of Kirk (Luanne) Ives, Donald (2007) and Karen (2012), Karen (Charles) Hill and Tina (John) Logan.

Grandmother of Jason, Melissa,(Dan), Kirk, Eric (1988), and Stephen (1989).

Great-grandmother of Amelia and Madalyn.

Sister of Clarice, Donald, Terrence, Dorothy, and Sharon (all predeceased).

She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

At Joan’s request, cremation has taken place. To those she loved, it is her wish that you live a good, happy life.
