Joan was a dedicated mother who proudly took care of her family, enjoyed life, traveling, cooking, and interacting with her numerous friends. She loved being by the water and thoroughly enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and British Columbia, taking walks on the beach looking for special seashells. She was also very active as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved sharing with all those she met the wonderful hope of future paradise Earth that she had learned from her study of the Bible. She believed in the promise of a resurrection mentioned in John 5:28, 29. She was looking forward to enjoying life again in perfect conditions, without the sad effects of advanced age.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. (Eastern time), at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 905 Medway Park Drive, London, Ontario.
The family wants to express their most sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff of the Chelsey Park long-term care home who provided excellent care to Joan for the past two and a half years. The family is also very grateful for the support of their family members and friends during this difficult time.
