Obituary Overview

John "Bryn" Preney

John Bryn Preney
August 6, 1968 – May 1, 2026

It is with deep love and quiet sorrow that we announce the passing of John Bryn Preney, known affectionately to many simply as Bryn, on May 1, 2026. Bryn was a gentle soul who carried a love for life’s simple pleasures. He found peace on the water, where boating brought him a sense of freedom and calm. Whether surrounded by friends or enjoying a quiet moment, he had a way of making life feel a little softer and more meaningful. He is the beloved son of Sheila Bayley and John Preney (Susanne). Father of Leeann Nikkole Particelli. Bryn is also survived by his sister, Leslie Maura McChesney of Australia, and her family, who remember him with warmth across the miles and his little sister Summer Love Lazarou and family. He will be deeply missed by his circle of friends and extended family, all of whom shared in moments of laughter, connection, and care that will not be forgotten. Bryn’s life reminds us that even the quietest presence can leave a lasting imprint. He will be remembered for who he was—kind, free-spirited, and deeply human. Arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation Centre, Windsor (Wyandotte). In keeping with his nature, may he be thought of when the water is still, the sun is warm, and the world feels at peace.
