Celebrating the Life of John Wright
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of John Wright on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, surrounded by family.
Beloved husband of Michelle Wright. Predeceased by his parents Ellen and Felix Wright. Loving brother of the late Lenord and sister Margaret.
John was one of those rare souls who made the world a brighter place just by being in it. With a heart as generous as they come.
He loved nothing more than spending time with his wife, Michelle, whether traveling together, enjoying music by C2C Entertainment, or heading to the Players Club / Moose Lodge where they formed friendships that became like family. John found joy in the little things: cheering on his nephew Michael at the races, sharing laughs over a cold drink, and simply being surrounded by the people and animals he loved so dearly.
John had a way of making people feel lighter, happier, and deeply cared for.
He enjoyed collecting car models, spending time with his best friends Debbie and George, Charlene, Perry, Carol, and many more, and was especially proud of his beloved Batman collection.
For 37 years, John worked at the post office as a custodian, where his dedication and hard work earned the respect and friendship of many.
John leaves behind his devoted wife, Michelle Wright, and his beloved sisters-in-law, Collette (Lloyd) and Denise (Mike). He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews Lloyd, Blake, Samantha (Cody), and Michael, as well as by Courtney and Katie. John’s memory will also be cherished by many great-nieces and great-nephews, along with his mother-in-law, Yvonne (Clifford). He will be deeply missed by his loyal companions, his two dogs, Angel and Cuddles, who brought him endless joy.
As John leaves this world, he is reunited with his good friend Chuck, a bond that will continue on in spirit.
Per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral service, but a celebration of life that will be held at a later date so that those who loved him can gather to share stories, laughter, and memories.
John was truly one of a kind: a sweet, amazing soul who lived with laughter, loved without limits, and gave endlessly. His absence leaves an ache, but his spirit will continue to shine in the stories, smiles, and love he leaves behind
