In Loving Memory of Julia Rose Bird
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Julia Rose Bird, age 83, of Dundas, Ontario, on June 22, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on February 23, 1943, in Solihull, England, Julia was the beloved daughter of William and Rose Hind. She worked for many years as a receptionist, including at Metroland and the Toronto Star.
Julia will be remembered for her strength, compassion, wonderful sense of humour, and love of life. She enjoyed travelling, music, knitting, and spending time with her family and friends in both Canada and England.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jacqueline Bird (Chris), and her son, Richard Bird. Julia was predeceased by her husband, John Bird, and her brothers, Bill, Ronald, and Norman.
Cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Julia will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
