It is with heavy hearts we share that Ma (Karen) had her last laugh at Hospice Niagara on September 1, 2025. Many thanks to the staff and volunteers who made her last month's full of joy, love and laughter. 
Karen was known as Ma to so many people. Including, LeeAnn (Maria Gulla) and Chris (Kim Leighton and Alicia Jones). Sister to Harry (Dilys) Nesbit, Janet Baxter, Mickey Pocknell, sister in law to Cathie Nesbit, step sister to Pat (Art) Ratelle and Bob Trelford. Winnie to Olivia, Zak, Nik, Jack, Callyn, Owen and Will. Step mother in law to Janice. Best friend of 46 years to Barb and special mention of Gail Ma will be remembered by many. Karen is predeceased by her mother Kay and father Harry Nesbit, brother John Nesbit, step brother
Bill Trelford, step father Bill Trelford and her beloved dog Murphy.

Karen graduated St Michael's nursing school in 1966ish (she couldn’t remember exactly). She adored her children, most of the time and adored her grandchildren all of the time. She loved Dog the Bounty Hunter and ice cream cones, penguins and Neil Diamond. Until the end her, hands and feet kept dancing. Karen will be remembered most for her sense of humour, her generosity and the intense love she had for family and friends.

As per Karen's wishes...let's have a drink together at Port Dalhousie Legion, 57 Lakeport Rd 12-3pm on Sunday September 7th. 1pmfor a toast to Karen and 2 hours of speeches. Lol
