It’s with heavy hearts the family of Karl May announces his passing on June 3, 2026 at the age of 66.

Dear son of Rita May and the late Michael May.

Cherished brother to Mickey (Rosemarie) May and Gary (Cari) May.

Adored grandson of the late Maria May.

Beloved uncle to Derek (Laura), Ken (Candice), Bryce (Sydney), Shawn (Kate), and Kyle (Heather).

Karl will be missed by his friend Jack Taylor as well as his extended family and many friends.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to Karl’s neighbours and friends in his apartment building for their kindness, care, and support.

Karl was hardworking in the construction field, and he took great pride in his work. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, including chocolate, airplanes, poker, and good food. He also had a gentle heart for animals, especially dogs, cats, and his pet squirrel.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.

In memory of Karl, donations may be made to the Windsor-Essex Humane Society.

Karl didn’t get his plane in the clouds, but he got his wings.
