Obituary Overview
Kelly Cooper
Kelly Cooper
June 8, 1960 – August 16, 2025
With her loving family by her side, Kelly Cooper passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, at the age of 65, under the compassionate care of the Hospice of Windsor.
Kelly was the devoted mother of Daniel (Renee) and Dennis — the center of her world and her greatest pride. She was the proud and adoring grandma of Marissa, Jeffrey, Simon, and Miles, who brought sunshine and laughter into her life. Her eyes sparkled whenever she spoke of her grandchildren, and she embraced every moment she spent with them.
A beloved sister, Kelly leaves behind a lifetime of memories shared with Bob Booker (Carolyn), Bill Booker (Margo), Tracy Wilton (Mark), Dale Green (Dave), Sandy Smith (Bob), and she now joins her dear sister, the late Kimmy Vaillancourt, with love. She will be forever remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and an incredible circle of friends whose lives were brighter because of her presence.
Kelly lived life with a fiery spirit, a generous heart, and an unmatched sense of humor. She had a deep and unwavering love for sports — a die-hard Detroit Lions fan through thick and thin, a loyal Red Wings supporter, and a true Tiger at heart. Some of her fondest memories were spent at Tiger Stadium and cheering from the couch with her boys, snacks in hand and heart on her sleeve.
Music filled her soul, and going to concerts with her sons created treasured memories she held close. But nothing brought her more joy than being with her family — laughing, reminiscing, and creating moments that will now live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Kelly's love was fierce, her laughter contagious, and her presence unforgettable. She was the kind of person who made you feel at home just by being near her — a true matriarch whose warmth, strength, and love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
In honour of Kelly’s life and passions, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association — causes close to her heart.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation, 7836 Wyandotte St. E., Windsor.
