Kelly MacTavish Horrocks
April 24, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family of Kelly MacTavish Horrocks announces her passing on April 24, 2026, at the age of 43.
Kelly was the loving wife of Darryl Horrocks and an amazing mother to twins, Meara and Elgin MacTavish Horrocks. She was the beloved daughter of proud parents Neil and Anjanette MacTavish, and will be forever remembered by her sister, Katie MacTavish, and her husband, BJ Jeroy, as well as her half‑sister, Krystal MacTavish.  Kelly was deeply adored by her aunt, Margie Reeds Alexander,  her father-in-law Russell Horrocks and mother-in-law Judy Horrocks, her brother-in-law Mark Horrocks and his wife Nina Horrocks, her sister-in law, Beth Ryan and her husband Kyle Ryan.
Kelly was predeceased by her mother, Gale MacTavish.
She will be dearly missed by her uncles, Don and John MacTavish, her cousin, Jason MacTavish, and by many extended family members and friends whose lives she touched.
Kelly dedicated her professional life to the Canada Border Services Agency. She began her career as a Student Officer while attending Western University as a Science major. Following graduation, she was invited to become a full‑time Officer, serving at both the Windsor–Detroit Tunnel and the Ambassador Bridge. She completed two short‑term work placements at the Canadian Consulate in China and participated in presentations at the Canadian Embassies in Paris and Budapest. Through her dedication and leadership, Kelly advanced to the position of Investigator.
Above all, Kelly loved her family. She treasured time spent at Willistead Park, joyfully watching her twins play on the playground. She also had a deep passion for travel, having visited twenty‑one countries, including the United Kingdom, Indonesia, the Bahamas, and Mexico.
A celebration of Kelly’s life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kelly’s memory to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County. Arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation.
