Kenneth Goudie
Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory
Peacefully, following a brief illness, Kenneth Goudie, born on March 30th, 1944, passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the age of 82.
Ken was the beloved husband of Diane (Bigras) Goudie, the love of his life for 63 years. A proud and devoted father, he leaves his legacy of strength and kindness to his children Sharon (Kim O’Leary) and Shawn (Jennifer Greene) and his cherished grandchildren: Faith, Owen, and Morgan.
Predeceased by his parents Isabelle Benoit and Emmett Grant Goudie, and siblings Grant, Richard, and Lynn, he is survived by his dear brother Robert (Laurette). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, as well as a large extended family and an extensive circle of friends whose lives he touched.
Ken’s life was defined by a profound generosity of spirit and a commitment to his community. He served with distinction in the 30th Field Regiment, and shared his discipline as a martial arts sensei and football coach. His dedication to fellowship was furthered through his active roles in the Masons and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Dr. A. Donahue for years of care, and to the exceptional nurses and doctors of 5 East at the Ottawa General Hospital for their compassion and support during Ken's final days.
