Ken passed away suddenly on Jan 9, 2026 at 75 years of age. Predeceased by his parents Jay and Joyce Garber and his in-laws Gordon and Jean Simms.

Beloved husband for 48 years to Lea Garber.

Cherished brother to Janis Rosenberg, David Garber (Barb) and Rhonda Robson (John)

Dear brother-in-law of Gillian Colley, Ann Grant (Dave), Lorne Simms (Debby), Jonelle Simms (Rick Syposh) and the late Gary Simms.

He will be sadly missed by his many generations of nieces and nephews.

Ken worked for 43 years at St. Clair College in the AV and IT departments. After retiring, he volunteered with the St. Clair College Retirees’ Association as their computer person.

Over the years Ken had so many interests and hobbies. He was very active in the different clubs around the area at different times. Michigan Chapter of the National Association of S Gaugers (model railroads), the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and the Border City Radio Club to name a few. He also enjoyed sending out his weekly emails of puns, memes, cartoons and jokes and of course his special weather alerts from Environment Canada.

In keeping with Ken’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A gathering of the family will take place at a later date.
