In Loving Memory of Lawrence "Larry" LeClair

Lawrence William Joseph LeClair "Larry", of Windsor, Ontario, peacefully passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 66.

Born in Windsor on October 20, 1959, Larry was a lifelong resident who dedicated much of his life to the local community he loved. He was a deeply respectful figure in the Windsor-Essex sports community and a truly accomplished athlete.

Larry's extraordinary talents on the ice and the diamond earned him a rightful place in the Windsor-Essex County Sports Hall of Fame. Local sports fans will fondly remember him commanding the mound as a pitcher for the Windsor Chief's Baseball Club, as well as his standout achievements in hockey. Beyond the statistics and accolades, Larry brought a spirit of teamwork, passion and sportsmanship to every game he played.

Larry is survived by his loving siblings: Lou-Ann Marino (late Vince), Susan MacPherson (Doug), Marianne Renaud (Mark), Vicki Glandon (Jeff), Carol Poloski (Brian), Shelley Bannon (Rob Clarke) and Gary LeClair.

He was a proud and cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews: Nick, Scott, Tiffany, Justin, Danielle, Bria, Kaylyn, Kyle, Tyler and Brooklyn. He will also be dearly missed by his extended family, teammates, and lifelong friends.

Larry was predeceased by his beloved parents, Jack and Juanita LeClair.

In accordance with Larry's wishes, there will be no visitation at this time.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date for family and friends to gather, share memories and honour his legacy.
