Lionel Edward Kearns

Lionel Kearns Sr., 72, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on July 9, 2026 in the comfort of his home in Windsor surrounded by family. Born on March 11, 1954, Lionel's life was a testament to love, laughter, and hard work. 

He was a devoted husband and best friend to Sue, loving father to Lionel Jr (Jessica) and Brad (Colette), step father to Jennie and Kasey, proud Papa to Curtis, Cody, Ethan, Tyler and Natalie, step grandfather to Lara and Jack and great grandfather to Malcolm. Sadly missed by siblings Diane Dauphin (Brian), Laura Sabocan (John), and Marvin Kearns (Laurie). Predeceased by brother Mark Kearns and sister Mary Turner. Dear brother-in-law to Rod and Jan Peturson. He will be greatly missed by his many friends in Windsor, Florida, and Alvinston. 

Lionel was a devoted worker as a skilled tradesperson at Chryslers Canada for 31 years. His true passion, however, was fixing and renovating his own and others' homes. He was always generous with his incredible talents. He loved camping and enjoyed nothing more than sitting around a campfire telling stories to entertain his friends and family. 

At Lionel's request there will be no funeral but a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
