Lois E. Thoms (née Shuker/Batstone) February 8, 2026 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lois E. Thoms on February 8, 2026. She is reunited with her loving husband, Robert “Bob”, and her daughter Victoria. Lois is survived by her children: Craig (Lynn), Christopher (Linda), Cameron (Erica, and the late Michelle), and Wendy (Mark). Cherished grandmother of: Robert, Melanie, Jenny, Mandy, Michael, Richard, Jeramie, Courtney, Kristen, Justin, Matthew, and Rebecca. She is also lovingly remembered by many great‑grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Lois is survived by her sister Beverly (Lee), and predeceased by siblings Murphy, Joan, Lynn (Sonny), and Gord. Lois worked for several years with the Windsor‑Essex Board of Education. A passionate and talented cook, she shared her love of food with family and also worked professionally in the culinary field. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, woodworking, gardening, and most of all, time spent with her family. Lois was always on the go. She shared an especially close bond with her grandson Justin, with weekly date nights filled with meals, ice cream by the water, and laughter—memories that will be treasured forever. She will be fondly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at AgeCare in Kingsville for their kindness, compassion, and care. In keeping with Lois’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements entrusted to: Simple Choice Cremation Centre
