In Loving Memory
Surrounded by her loving family on May 8, 2026, Lorraine De Prest passed away peacefully at the University Hospital in London, after a battle with cancer. Born February 17, 1942, to Sally and James Benenati, sister to Jim (Sue) and Guy (Sherry). Lorraine married her loving husband Joseph De Prest in 1965 and was the proud mother of Brian (Kathy) and Christopher (Sandy). Loving grandmother of Brandon, Jordan, Nicholas, Benjamin, Matthew, and William, and great-grandmother to Violet.
Lorraine was born in London, Ontario and became a registered nurse at St Joseph’s Hospital. She then volunteered and traveled to Galahad, Alberta to care for the sick, and later returned to London to care for the sisters at Mount St Joseph’s.
A celebration of life is planned for Sunday, June 7th at the Thorndale Community Centre from 2 pm – 5 pm. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Terry Fox Foundation in honour of Lorraine.
