On April 14, 2026, Marina Baran’s (nee Halbot) family in Heaven welcomed her back home. Those of us Earthside will miss her big laughter, her generous spirit and her unmatched ability to come up with a nickname that will last your whole life.
Marina was a proud Newfoundlander, a mother of three, and a treasured grandmother, auntie, sister and trouble maker. She worked hard, loved hard, and was always the first one to show up when you needed help. Or on the dance floor.
Your friends and family love you, Marina. Be good up there.
