Marlene Skrzypa
Obituary Overview
Marlene Skrzypa
Peacefully, with family at her side, Marlene Skrzypa passed on June 25, 2026 at the age of 87. She is reunited with the love of her life, Bob Skrzypa (2013), her parents Roy & Nellie Matity, her older siblings Leonard Matity and Bess Pearson (late Don), her dear sister in law Rose Skrzypa and brother in law Eddie Skrzypa, and many beloved cats and dogs she cared dearly for along the way.
Her son Chris Skrzypa, daughter Karen Middleton (Dave #1), and daughter Janet Hocevar (Dave #2) will miss her dearly. She leaves behind her grandchildren Amanda Clark (Jason), Jim Middleton (Beth), Jordan Hocevar (Taylor), and Jenna-Rose Hocevar (Kyle). She was also a proud Great Grandma to Noah, Kacey, Morgan and Nora. Special Aunt to Brian Skryzpa and Jakob Skrzypa (Grace).
Her family is grateful she passed down her love of movies, music, reading, and gardening. They appreciated her cooking and are happy to have so many of her recipes. She loved trips to the mall and the casino and made friends wherever she went.
Her family enjoyed many traditions, delicious turkey dinners, handmade perogies and so much more at her hands. Her grandkids remember Halloween and Christmas treat bags, no matter how old they got, board games and many laughs. She was happy to spoil her great grandkids and proud to introduce them to her friends.
She moved into Royal Oak LTC in Kingsville in 2023 and was happy to make new friends. Thank you to the friends she made there and the staff who went above and beyond in caring for her. We appreciate each and every one of you making these years so great for her.
Per Marlene’s wishes a private family get together will be held and cremation has taken place.
