Peacefully on October 28th, 2025, Mary Carol Hopf of London (formerly Peterborough) in her 84th year, passed away at Parkwood Hospital. Survived by her cherished husband, Jacob Hopf; loving mother of Sherry Bailey and husband Dave, Tina Morden and husband Tony Herremans, Sandra Gilbert (son-in-law Scott) and James Towle and partner Cathy MacNeil. Beloved stepmother of Richard Towle and wife Charlotte, Joan McLaughlin and husband Brent, Pam Rainford and husband Paul, Rick Eggett and wife Cheryl, and Brenda Dol.
Adoring Nana and Grandma of Tyler and Trevor Bailey, Cassandra and Joseph Herremans, Isabella and Autumn Gilbert, Darreck Hildreth, Dana Sharkey and Janine Harron, Melissa and Kyle McLaughlin, Steven and Ryan Rainford, Al Cushman and Andrew, Daniel and Michael Beattie. Much loved by her 16 great grandchildren.
Remembered by her sisters Beth Carter and husband Harold, Margaret Sweeting and husband Earl and Mardie Whatman.
Predeceased by her husbands James Towle and Ron Morden, her mother Marjorie Whatman and stepfather Gerald Whatman, her father Louis Corbett, her brother Kenneth Corbett and his wife Marie.
Carol will be missed by a multitude of friends and her extended family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation has taken place and Carol will be resting at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held on Saturday, November 8th at the Moose Lodge located at 35 Charterhouse Crescent, London from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come join us to remember Carol and perhaps share story you may have.
