Mary Jane Livingstone (MJ)

Mary Jane Livingstone of Windsor, Ontario, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at the age of 76. Beloved wife and partner of 26 years to Dave Robinet, 'MJ' was born on April 21, 1950, in Vancouver, British Columbia, and lived her early life in Stratford, Ontario. Beautiful not only in appearance but also in spirit, MJ cared profoundly for her family and friends.

MJ's compassion for others was deeply influenced by her career as a Registered Nurse. Graduating from the Hospital for Sick Children's Nursing program in 1972, she later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Windsor. MJ's extensive career spanned multiple specialties, and she worked in Toronto, London, Windsor and Detroit. A lifelong learner, MJ graduated with her Doctor of Chiropractic from the National Chiropractic College in Lombard, Illinois in 1999. Licensed to practice in Illinois and Ontario, MJ provided holistic care to patients in Windsor.

Mary Jane is predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Harry Livingstone of Stratford and Dave's parents, Phoebe and Blaise Robinet of Windsor. She is also predeceased by her dear sister-in-law Christine Robinet, and her close friends Phyllis Guatto and Patricia Kennedy. MJ had a unique bond with each of these special women.

MJ is survived by her brother Reverend Allan Livingstone (Marianne) of Goderich, her sister Catherine Coulson of Waterloo, dear nieces Stephanie Livingstone, Emily Williams (Maurice), Meghan Kendall (Vishaal), Alex Gerger (Steve) as well as her brothers and sisters in law Andy Robinet (Lyn), Karen Dalpe (Dave), Cathy Pare (Armand), Denise Moes (Don Lemmon), Ken Robinet (Karen), Janine Soulliere (Ben), Cindy Chretien (Pierre), along with numerous other nieces and nephews. MJ will also be missed by devoted friends Dave and Elissa Stannard and Lonnie and Brenda Rickert. Close to MJ's heart were her devoted dogs Baxter and Ronnie Mac.

Special thanks to MJ's niece Stephanie, and her Windsor family and friends for their diligent care during her illness. The family would like to convey gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus 7th floor, and Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital Prince Road Palliative Care Unit.
