Maureen passed away peacefully on the evening of June 24, 2026. She is survived by her sons, Phillip and Bart; Phillip’s spouse, Kimberly; and her cherished granddaughter, Sophia. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, Bart Sr.

Born to Herbert and Winnifred Shepherd on April 26, 1947, in Vancouver, BC, Maureen was a devoted wife, loving mother, and fun-loving grandmother who loved her family with all her heart.

Throughout her life, Maureen worked in many different roles, including owning her own hair salon. Those who knew Moe knew that, above all else, she loved to laugh and to make others laugh. She will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank all who have reached out with kind words and prayers.

A special thank you is extended to the staff and volunteers at Age Care – Pine Grove for the wonderful care and support they provided to Maureen over the last three years and in her final days.

Respecting Maureen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. She will be remembered with love by all who knew her.
