It is with deep love and heavy hearts that the family of Maurice “Mo” Lacroix announces
his peaceful passing on March 28, 2025, at the age of 83. Mo lived a life full of laughter,
love, and devotion — and the world is a little quieter without his smile in it.
Mo was a dedicated family man who poured his heart into caring for those he loved. His
greatest joy was simply being surrounded by the people who meant the most to him, and
he had a gift for making every room feel warmer just by being in it.
Mo is survived by his beloved wife, Marion, the love of his life and his steadfast
companion. He leaves behind his cherished children, David, Tim, and Leslie, as well as
his sisters Margaret and Barbara — all of whom carry his memory close. Mo was also the
proud grandfather and great-grandfather to a wonderful generation of grandchildren
and great-grandchildren who were lucky enough to know his warmth firsthand.
Those who knew Mo will remember a man who was quick with a smile and even quicker
with a joke. He had a lighthearted spirit and a contagious energy that drew people to
him naturally. Whether he was out on the golf course, throwing darts, or dancing with
Marion, Mo approached life with enthusiasm and a whole lot of fun. Family gatherings
were where he truly shone — he was the kind of man who made every occasion feel like a
celebration.
Mo was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed — not just for what he did, but for
who he was. A loving husband, a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a man who always,
always made you smile.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family Celebration of Life will
take place at a later date.
