Maxine Huggard (nee Monforton)

Maxine Huggard (nee Monforton) our beloved mother, passed away peacefully at 96 years old on December 21st, 2025. Reunited with dad (Don, 2015) and surrounded by her loving children Mark (Joanne), Christine Thrasher (Rob), Donna Snow (Tom, 2016), Paul, Mary-Jo Armstrong (Ken), Greg (Ann Marie), and John.

Cherished meme to Emily (Sam), Ben (Lisa), Greg (Sally), Josh (Kyla), Dane (Elizabeth), Rebekah (Matt), Abbey (George), Claire, Jacob (Lauren), Noah, Andrew, Meghan (Kaled), and Courtney.

Mom delighted in her great-grandchildren Max, Emma, Liah, Maddox, Nash, Miller, Sawyer, Hayden, Haven (Angel), Marlow, Winslet , Poppy, and Oscar. 

Mom leaves behind her cherished sister Jeannette (Hank Byrne), many nephews and nieces, and holds a special place in her heart for Cathiy Dzus and Dawn Huggard.

Reunited with her parents Louis and Bernadette Monforton, her brothers Roger (Theresa), Paul (Clara), Frank (Ginny), and sisters Miriam Page (Ernie), and Rosalie Gignac (Ernie).

Cremation has taken place, and mom will be laid to rest alongside dad after 63 years of marriage.

Any donations in mom's honour can be made to the Brain Injury Association of Windsor-Essex County, Hospice of Windsor-Essex County (where mom received exceptional care during her final days and for which we are grateful), Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the dialysis unit at WRH.
