Itis with a heavy but faithful heart that I announce the passing of my dear brother on October 1 2026 at the age of 68 with his family by his side.  Beloved son of the late Yvonne Hines (2019) and the late Michael LaRochelle Sr. (1982).  He leaves behind his loving sister Nancy, fond cousins, extended family, friends and neighbour's.  Special thanks to nurse Jen, Jody, his PSW's and Windsor Regional hospital for your unwavering support.  Michael loved fishing and hunting in his youth but at 23 yrs old a diving accident left him with a severe spinal injury, limiting the use of his arms and legs.  Eventually accepting his disability, Mike became involved in wheelchair rugby.  Soon after he came across his sport and began competing in air rifle. Mike continued at provincial and national levels leading him to several paralympic games. Always so proud of him and honoured to have had such an inspiring brother. Rest peacefully now Mike.  At Mike's  request cremation has taken place.  Arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice  (Dougall) 519-254-2585.  There will be a private family gathering at a later date.
