Morag Jean Cunningham
Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory
Morag Jean Cunningham, born November 1, 1950, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, at Etobicoke General Hospital, held closely by her devoted children. Born on All Saints’ Day, Morag carried a quiet strength and a luminous spirit that shaped every part of her life.
She was a loving mother to Catherine and Fidel, whose presence brought her comfort in her final moments. Morag is predeceased by her beloved twin sister Margo (May 2021) and is survived by her brothers Colin and Phil, who will forever cherish her memory. As a proud aunt, Morag held an irreplaceable place in the lives of Chris, Michelle, Ceilidh, Meredith, Dylan, and David. Her kindness, loyalty, and fierce love for her family and friends defined her.
Morag lived with Parkinson’s for many years, carrying the illness with quiet bravery and meeting each day with little complaint. Her time spent with family — including her daughter‑in‑law Chi Chi — and the joy of her first grandson, Marco, sustained her through even the most difficult moments.
Despite her many health challenges, Morag’s zest for life never faded. She loved deeply, cared fiercely, and faced every hardship with grace and humour.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Etobicoke General Hospital for their compassionate and dedicated care.
Arrangements for a celebration of her life will be announced.
